INCLEMENT WEATHER INFORMATION
As you know, the district uses AlertNow as our automatic notification service. In the event that the service experiences technical difficulties, please be aware of the following district procedures to follow on inclement weather school days.1. An AlertNow call will be made to students’ homes at approximately 6:00 a.m.
2. If you do not receive a call by 6:15 a.m., please use any of the following resources to find out if school is closed or delayed:

3. If the AlertNow call is for a delayed opening, please be certain to listen to the entire message. If there is a possibility that the delayed opening will be changed to a closing, that will be included in the message. For your information, the second call would not be made any later than 7:30 a.m.
Please be certain that you inform your respective school(s) of any changes to your telephone number. The information in AlertNow is updated on a daily basis; however, if you do not receive the AlertNow call and have recently changed your telephone number, please consult one of the resources listed above.

School Announcements
District Early Closing Dates 2011-2012
September 2011
The dates for early dismissal in The Somerset Hills School District during the 2011-2012 school year are being provided so that parents/guardians can arrange childcare and transportation, if needed. Early dismissal means that the students will be dismissed from Marion T. Bedwell Elementary School at 1:20 P.M. (lunch will be served).
Scheduled early closings for the 2011-2012 school year at Marion T. Bedwell Elementary School will occur at 1:20 p.m. as follows:
November 7, 8, and 9, 2011 for Conferences
November 23, 2011 for Thanksgiving Holiday
December 23, 2011 for Winter Holiday
June 18, 19, and 20, 2012 for the last three days of school
Additionally, should there be an early closing due to an unforeseen situation, such as a weather emergency or loss of power, an announcement will be made via the ALERTNOW service, local radio and television stations, and the district’s website.
